Research Assistant (all genders)
The employment contract is fixed-term (36 months), starting on 1st of March, 2023.
This position is assigned to a project in the interdisciplinary priority program SPP 2171. The aim of the project is to investigate numerical methods for simulating the wetting and dewetting behavior of flexible substrates under the influence of temperature gradients.
Your tasks:
- Development of discontinuous Galerkin methods for fluid-structure interaction under the influence of heat transfer
- Collaboration in the development of the institute-internal simulation software BoSSS
- Collaboration in courses of the department
Your Qualifications:
- Degree (Diploma or MSc,) in computational engineering, mechanics, mathematics or technical mathematics.
- experience in the implementation of numerical algorithms
- in-depth knowledge in numerics as well as programming skills
